About LUCHAS

Lugala college of Health and allied sciences (LUCHAS) belongs to ELCT-DUK. The idea of establishing this Nursing College was created by the leadership of the Lugala Lutheran Hospital and the Diocese of Ulanga Kilombero, because since 1989 this College had been conducting pre-nursing training (pre Nursing School). Since this training was officially stopped by the government (Ministry of Health), and Lugala college of health and allied sciences is one of the Faith Based Organization (FBO).

Vission:

To have competent Health care providers who will provide Nursing care effectively at different health care setting worldwide and cope with existing and emerging Health issues

Mission:

To establish contact and sustanaible training environment that will allow students and graduates to perform competently at their relevant levels and acquire skills and altitudes in promotting Health, preventing diseases, attainment of high knowledge, skills and altitudes in promotting health also preventing disease and careering for the sick as well as rehabilitating the debilited individuals in all settings
